What you need to know about this Ramadan
As we welcome Ramadan at ICNYC, we look forward to gathering as a community for worship, learning, and service throughout the blessed month. Here are some key details to remember:
Opening Time:
30 min before Maghrib
We will be opening daily approximately 30 minutes before Maghrib time. Please note opening time will change as Maghrib becomes later.
We will pray and have iftar in the space for our community daily in sha Allah.
Maghrib and Iftar
Post Iftar Programming
We have scheduled programming after Iftars. The weekly schedule will be posted on this site every Sunday and also an email will be sent out.
Isha & Taraweeh:
8:30 PM - 11:00 PM
We will pray Isha followed by Taraweeh at 8.30pm daily. This time will not be affected by isha time changes nor daylight savings.
We will host our Annual Grand Qiyam on Sunday, March 15th (27th night of Ramadan).
Qiyams
We will have Eid prayers for both our Sunni and Shia congregation.
The Sunni congregation shall celebrate Eid on March 20th based on calculations by Fiqh Council of North America.
The Shia congregation shall celebrate Eid according to moon sighting. The tentative date for now is on March 20th.

All of our Ramadan programs and operations at the ICNYC are enabled by the generous contributions of community members like you. Our iftars cost ~ $8600/night. This covers iftar for 600 to 800 guests.

We will provide iftar but feel free to bring something to share with those sitting around you.

We are only open for maghrib, Isha and tareweeh

No, registration is not required, but we kindly ask you to RSVP using the form above so we can better prepare for the community’s needs.

Currently, we are undergoing renovations and have only one bathroom each for brothers and sisters available. Please try to come with wudū’ or allow extra time before Salah.

Yes. We have a sisters’ section in our main hall that is accessible, comfortable, and designed for full participation.

Yes. We do provide hijab scarves and skirts for sisters who may need them. Please return them after use.

Limited paid parking is available in the vicinity, with the nearest lot located on West 3rd Street. We strongly encourage visitors to use public transportation when traveling to the center.
Subway: Convenient nearby stations include West 4th Street, Christopher Street, Astor Place, and 8th Street–NYU.
PATH: For visitors commuting from New Jersey, the closest PATH station is 9th Street.
Bus: Multiple bus routes serve the area, with stops along 6th Avenue, West 4th Street, and adjacent streets.

Yes. The building is ADA-accessible, with ramps where needed. We also provide ASL interpreters for the khutbah upon advance request. For additional assistance please reach out to info@theicnyc.org.

Our entire center runs on the dedication of volunteers. From setup, ushering, and media to hospitality. Please fill the form above to sign up for one of our volunteer trainings.

Yes! Children are welcome, but we kindly ask parents to supervise them so everyone can benefit from the khutbah and prayer. If you bring a stroller, please ask a volunteer where to park it.

Absolutely - guests are welcome to have food, be in community and prayers. If you’re visiting for the first time, please let one of our volunteers know - we’d love to welcome you personally.
